A Smart Energy Smart Women Workshop will be hosted at the Suzette Brumleve Memorial Effingham Public Library in partnership with Faith in Place and Centenary United Methodist Church on Thursday, February 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the Workman Room.

Women as a demographic form a disproportionately large share of the poor population in countries all over the world. This makes women more vulnerable to effects of climate change; however, women are also effective agents of change in adapting to these new challenges.

Come learn with Christina Krost of Faith in Place how the climate is changing here in the United States and how you can be an agent of change in your own home. We will also look at how faith informs our ability to care for creation, be a good steward of the environment and help our brothers and sisters around the world.

Attendance at this program assists the Centenary United Methodist Church in securing grant funds to pay for recycling bins made available to the community at their 203 E Grove Ave, Effingham address.

Registration Required.

To register, call the library at 217-342-2464 x1, email info@effinghamlibrary.org or register online at www.effinghamlibrary.org
