The Newton Elementary/Jasper County Junior High Band-Aides will be hosting a chili lunch, followed by the 3rd annual Trivia Fundraiser on Sunday, January 22, 2017.  The lunch menu will consist of chili soup, peanut butter sandwiches, and a variety of homemade desserts.  The cost per person will be $7.00 for adults and $4.00 for children 5 years and under.  Lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Newton Community High School cafeteria. Following lunch will be a fun and friendly game of trivia at 2:00 p.m.located in the high school gym.

Teams can register for trivia and time before or the day of the event.  Registration forms are available from Mr. Finley or you may call Cherilea Pitcher at217 683-2369for a registration form or more information.  The cost per team is $100.00, with teams consisting of 6 to 10 members.  There will be a wide variety questions, so teams participants can be of all ages.

Along with the lunch and trivia, there will be a 50/50 raffle, as well as a large selection of raffle baskets featuring Thirty-One products.  Tickets for both raffles will be 1 ticket for $1.00, 6 tickets for $5, or an arm's lenght of tickets for $20.

It is the desire of the Band-Aides organization to help provide new uniforms for the Junior High band within the next few years.  The current uniforms are over 20 years old, and in need of replacing.  Participation in this event would be helping the Band-Aides get a good start at raising much needed funds for new uniforms.
