Effingham city police have made two arrests on drug charges.

26-year-old Levi Mahon of St. Elmo and 26-year-old Matthew Koeberlein of St. Elmo have been arrested on counts of delivery of controlled substances.  The arrests were the result of a city police investigation concluded Friday.

City police subsequently obtained a search warrant, which resulted in the recovery of additional narcotics: 105 pills of suspected ecstasy, four grams of cocaine, 12 grams of crack cocaine, 132 grams of Psilocybin mushrooms, and 60 grams of cannabis.

Police said additional charges are possible.  The case has been referred to the Effingham County State's Attorney's Office.
