The City of Effingham Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is gearing up to host the annual Wonderland in Lights display in Community Park again this year. The drive-thru display includes a variety of lighted holiday scenes from flying reindeer, to Santa stuck in the fireplace, and a Nativity scene.

The Effingham CVB is continuing to add to the display this year, including additional lighting displays and Christmas caroling on two Saturday evenings.

The display will be open from Thanksgiving Day to Christmas Day. Hours will be from 5-9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5-10 p.rn. Friday and Saturday.

The Wonderland In Lights will also have a special visitor on Saturday nights. Santa Claus will be there from 5 to 10 p.m. on Saturdays.

As always, the Effingham CVB has some great volunteers who will be working at the display and who will be collecting donations, with the funds going to support the upkeep of the display. If you are interested in volunteering to help spread Christmas cheer, contact the Effingham Tourism Department to learn more at 342-5310.
