Doan Shares Assessments, Finances w/Noon Rotary

Effingham Unit 40 Superintendent Mark Doan shared about finances and about State goals and assessments with members of the Effingham Noon Rotary Club October 2.

Doan is dealing with his district employees the changeover in Illinois to Common Core standards in the next couple of school years.  He discussed the testing involved in determining whether the District meets those goals once they're in place.

Doan also discussed State funding of school districts and how Unit 40 has been impacted in recent years.

Doan is a member of Noon Rotary.

The Rotary weekly student guest was Jason Pike, the son of Ron and Nila Pike and a senior at Effingham High School.
