Trevor Doughty Named Next Charleston High School Principal

Longtime Charleston School District official Trevor Doughty has been named the next principal of Charleston High School.

Doughty will take over the job July 1, 2014, upon the retirement of Diane Hutchins.

Doughty is currently principal of Charleston Middle School.  He taught in the Charleston district from 1989 to 2005, was assistant middle school principal and district Athletic Director in 2005-2006, and continued as the high school assistant principal until 2012.  During his years in the district, Doughty has also served as high school girls and boys basketball coach.

Doughty graduated from Crab Orchard High School in 1978.  He earned his Associate's Degree in Education from John A. Logan Community College, a Bachelor's Degree in History from Murray State University, and his Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Eastern Illinois University.
