Personnel items were prominent at this week's Teutopolis school board meeting.

The Board approved hiring Stephanie Kilzer as music director for Teutopolis High School drama productions and Carrie Copple as half-time one-on-one aide for the Teutopolis Grade School Preschool program.  Eastern Illinois University practicum student Mallory Richards was approved to do her counseling practicum with Teri Wortman at the grade school and junior high school.

The Board accepted the past year's audit and approved the new year's budget, and also approved teacher Misty Mapes' use of school computers for Illinois Virtual High School courses she is teaching.

Board members agreed to seek bids on a new school bus; approved a reduction for Unit 50 bookkeeper Myra Pruemer to four days per week as of January 1st if a suitable replacement is found; and agreed to seek a secretary to work three hours, 15 minutes a day in the Unit office and the high school office beginning in December.
