St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham has announced that Bobbi Kinkelaar has been promoted to Director of Nursing, effective September 8.

In this role, Kinkelaar will work closely with, and support, the Chief Nursing Officer in managing all areas of Nursing Services.  Hospital officials say the change in management "will further establish a strong nursing foundation."  The statement from the hospital added of Kinkelaar "She will assist in providing a nurse-driven decision making process to help elevate nursing at St. Anthony's to a superior level."

Since being hired by St. Anthony's in 2008, Kinkelaar has worked in multiple departments in various nursing capacities including Nurse Navigator for Women's Wellness from 2008 to 2012, and Surgical Services manager from 2012 to the present.  She graduated from SIU-Edwardsville in 1997 with a Bachelor's in Nursing.  She earned a Master's of Nursing degree from McKendree University in 2012.
