Several area school districts decided to stop providing extra-curricular transportation for this school year.  Some are now reconsidering.

The South Central school board Wednesday voted to reinstate extra-curricular transportation, one night after the Dieterich school board made the same decision.

Also at South Central, the tentative budget was accepted for the coming fiscal year with final action expected at the September meeting.  The Board also purchased catastrophic accident insurance from Chartis AIG for the school year.

In personnel decisions, the South Central board approved a leave of absence for Bre Milano, approved hiring Blake Korte and certified staff for the school year, recalled Wendy Reid as a support staffer, and approved Denton Brasel as a volunteer middle school basketball coach.
