Fire damaged two backyard sheds at 800 South Pembroke Street Monday afternoon.
Effingham Fire Chief Brant Yochum said a neighbor was burning and the fire got away from them and caught one shed on fire. The fire also damaged the exterior of the other shed. The fire occurred shortly after 1pm.
Yochum said firefighters estimated the dollar value of damage to the sheds and contents at $13,000. No one was injured.
