(DETERS)
Justin Deters has submitted his resignation as Superintendent of the Stewardson-Strasburg school district.
The school board accepted the resignation at this month's meeting. Deters is taking a job with a state-level education agency. The resignation is effective June 30th.
The Board heard from Deters on a $2.3 million sewer update grant. The district has been working for several years on extending sewer service north to Strasburg to hook into the village's system. Deters also reported that the Stew-Stras district had a 4.0 financial status on their audit, which means recognition status.
Board members accepted Mark Wascher's resignation from junior high baseball, and hired Brock Friese as head junior high baseball coach.
