Village President Dave Repking and other members of the Teutopolis Village Board reviewed proposed amendments for the village's regulation of hoop barns and metal carports at last week's meeting.
Repking plans to contact Village Attorney Tracy Willenborg to implement the changes.
The Board also approved a TIF redevelopment agreement for the development of Siegfried's Restaurant in the former Designs Unlimited building, then executed a redevelopment agreement between the Village of Teutopolis and Ryan Spencer and Mary Spencer, who will do business as Siegfried's Restaurant. Board members also purchased a plow from Rahn Equipment for $6,770.30.
Trustee Daniel Zerrusen proposed a temporary freeze on new permits for short-term rentals until further notice. Zerrusen explained that he feels there are too many violations involving existing short-term rental properties. The Board agreed to the proposal, and the issuance of new permits will be temporarily halted.
