The Effingham County 911 Board has approved the budget for the 2025 fiscal year.
The measure calls for $1.24 million in expenditures, about $350,000 more in outgo than income. 911 will still have more than $1.2 million available.
The Board approved an increase in liability insurance premiums, although deductibles were raised in two areas to save about $2,400.
Board members heard about an inspection of the tower outside the County P-SAP location downtown. The Board decided to secure a structural engineer to inspect the tower.
