South Central Hires High School Principal

South Central school board members Wednesday hired Michael Koehnke as principal of South Central High School for the 2025-2026 school year. 

Koehnke is currently an assistant principal at Mt. Vernon High School. Jamie Van Scyoc is currently serving as high school principal.

The Board approved the audit of the past fiscal year, put the fiscal year levy on display with adoption expected at the December meeting, and set the levy at 4.99%. Board members also approved a bond resolution.

Board members agreed to take bids on an old greenhouse. The winning bidder will need to remove the greenhouse when selected. 

South Central board members hired Brock Adams to be a paid assistant coach for the 5th and 6th grade basketball teams for this season.
