Man on Motorized Bicycle Collides w/Vehicle

An Effingham man was injured when the motorized bicycle he was operating struck a vehicle.

The man, 22-year-old Brant Gordon, was traveling along Keller Drive just after 4:30pm Wednesday at the intersection with East Evergreen Avenue. Gordon's unit struck a vehicle turning east onto Evergreen from Keller driven by Teresa Phillips of Effingham.

Effingham City Police report Gordon was thrown from the bicycle and his legs were run over by the Phillps vehicle. Police report that there were no serious injuries.

Gordon was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.
