Fayette County Infant Death Investigation

On Thursday afternoon, September 26, several agencies responded to the death of an infant at a Fayette County residence.  Fayette County Coroner David Harris reported that he pronounced the four-month old male deceased at his residence. 

An autopsy on the infant was to take place Friday morning, September 27, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

No further information is being released at this time, as this incident is under investigation by the Coroner’s Office, Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, and the Child DeathTask Force.
