The Teutopolis school board Monday took action on several personnel matters.

The Board accepted resignations from Leann Buening as junior high school head cook and from Dick Henry as fulltime bus driver.  Student teachers Brittany Robinson and Kathryn Koester were approved as volunteer volleyball coach and volunteer golf coach, respectively.  Those hired were Anna McClellan as high school English teacher, Dave Burrell as fulltime bus driver, Amy Oseland as co-sponsor of the junior high Student Council, and Barb Weber as junior high school head cook.  Three D.O. workers were hired for the coming school year to work as teacher aides as the grade school...Jennifer Holman, Adriana Kaufman and Kara Swingler.

Also Monday, the Teutopolis board appointed Gene Niemerg to the Eastern Illinois Area Special Education governing board for the coming school year and Leah Passalacqua as the alternate; established a junior high Sun Safety Activity Account; adopted an amended budget for the current school year; and took no action on a resolution supporting a petition for detachment of territory.

The Board discussed kindergarten enrollment and what a limit would be for adding another section of kindergarten; discussed the possibility of combining high school Honors Night and high school Graduation in the future; and discussed maintenance projects including work on the high school parking lot and carpeting in three high school rooms.

Board members voted to seek bids to repair the bus garage roof; and discussed Easter weekend sports schedules.
