Fayette County board members have appointed a new Emergency Management Agency coordinator.

Kendra Craig was appointed EMA Coordinator.  Craig succeeds Steve Koehler who died earlier this year and an interim coordinator.  Craig works for the Fayette County Health Department in emergency services so will split her duties between the two agencies.

The Board authorized Sheriff Aaron Lay to hire a maintenance and custodial employee on a temporary basis.  Due to resignations and medical leaves, there has been no one on staff to handle maintenance work.

Fayette board members reappointed Sandra Runge to a three-year term on the county Board of Health and appointed Darrell Schaal for one year as the County Board representative on the Board of Health; reappointed Dr. Michael Darmadi, Delbert Miller and Charles Barenfanger as directors of the Fayette County Hospital Board for three-year terms; reappointed Larry Sarver to a three-year term as a trustee of the Herrick Fire Protection District; and reappointed President John Daniels, Jr., Secretary Laura Feezel, and Treasurer Brenda Haupt to the County 377 Board for three-year terms.

The Board also agreed to participate using Federal dollars with IDOT to replace a bridge 1-1/2 miles south of St. Paul in Wilberton Township and to rehabilitate the Altamont Road bridge north of Farina.
