Area law enforcement authorities have arrested a Salem man on four Class X Felony counts of delivery of a controlled substance.
Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation, Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force and Illinois State Police Troop 9 announced the arrest of 23-year-old Jeremiah A. Fink.
Over several months, the agencies conducted a narcotics investigation regarding the illicit sale of controlled substances. Fink was arrested about 10:30pm Thursday in Salem on the drug charges, which were Class X Felonies since they occurred less than 500 feet from a school while children were present.
Fink is being held in Marion County Jail under $75,000 bond.
Drug Task Force members include the Effingham County Sheriff's Office.
