Watson Man Arrested in Salem for Armed Robbery

Salem Police have arrested a 29-year-old Watson man for the Saturday night armed robbery at the Spirit Shoppe on South Broadway in Salem.

Brandon Wagner was taken to the Marion County Jail for an alleged Class X armed robbery and a second charge of aggravated robbery.

Salem Police report they were able to develop leads over the weekend that led to Wagner and a vehicle used in the armed robbery that registered back to Wagner’s mother.  Police went to his home around noon where he was arrested without incident. The car believed to have been used in the armed robbery was also present.

Salem Police were able to recover the large kitchen or butcher knife that had allegedly been displayed during the armed robbery. None of the money taken during the holdup has been located.

Police earlier said the store clerk was not injured in the hold-up where an undisclosed amount of money was stolen.
