Newby Hired as North Clay Principal

The North Clay Board of Education Monday voted to hire Sarah Newby as high school principal for the 2023-2024 school year.

Newby is currently a Business and Technology instructor at North Clay High School. She will succeed Keith Price as principal when he moves up to the superintendent's position to succeed the retiring Travis Wyatt.

The Board earlier had hired Matthew Smith as principal, but Wyatt said Smith has since decided to stay at his current district in Bunker Hill, opening the opportunity for Newby to take the job.
