Teutopolis village board members Wednesday discussed whether to allow mini-trucks to be considered as a side-by-side vehicle. The Board decided against the idea, and that only side-by-sides will be permitted.

The Board again discussed IMRF contributions for village employees, but then decided to look at other investment options before reaching a decision.

We had told you last month that some village land that has been farmed was going into the CRP program. At Wednesday's meeting, the issue was revisited and the land will be farmed, after all. John Meyer will be paid $1,650/year to farm the ground.

The Board also decided that the TIF district will pay up to $300,000/year to reimburse the village for money for work done by the village in the TIF district, until the Village is reimbursed.

A solar energy ordinance was discussed, but there was no action, and the Board agreed to give T-Town Tire and Auto Repair additional time to complete its cleanup.

The Board also directed Village Board President David Repking to contact Village Attorney Tracy Willenborg to start action against a property owner that has started a structure within the extra-territorial district and has not obtained a building permit.
