Teutopolis school board members Tuesday heard that information regarding the coming school year is expected next month.

The Board learned that high school graduation and end-of-year scenarios are expected in February, along with drafts of next school year's calendar.

Board members approved the purchase of vision and hearing screening equipment through the nursing intergovernmental agreement. Teutopolis shares the equipment and nursing services with two other districts. The Board also approved the purchase and installation of high school security equipment.

The Board learned that track bleacher installation is to be completed this week, and that two 2018 model used buses purchased earlier have been received.

In personnel moves, the Teutopolis board accepted irrevocable resignations from Jody Doyle as a junior high part-time cook, and from Laurie Thompson as high school athletic director as of the end of the school year. In a text Wednesday evening, Thompson said she plans to return to fulltime teaching and will continue coaching next school year.

Hirings were approved of Kayla Ambuehl as high school secretary, Monique Hortenstine as high school spring drama sponsor, Brandy Niccum as high school musical sponsor, and Rachel Habing as junior high track and field coach. The Board also denied a leave of absence request as presented and honorably dismissed an employee upon exhaustion of available leave days.
