Mason Woman Injured in Thursday Crash

A Mason woman was injured in a hit-and-run crash outside Effingham Thursday afternoon.

State police say 31-year-old Stephanie Hollinshead was injured when her vehicle collided with a pickup truck pulling a horse trailer.  The crash happened at 5pm on I-57/70 just north of the Fayette Avenue interchange.

Police say Hollinshead slowed her vehicle for water on the roadway in the construction zone and her vehicle was struck by the pickup truck, which then left the scene.

Hollinshead was taken for treatment to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.  Police are seeking the driver of the pickup truck.
