Stew-Stras School Board Finalizes Administrator Contracts

Stewardson-Strasburg school board members this week finalized contracts with their incoming adminstrative team.

The Board approved a three-year contract with current grade school principal Justin Deters, who will become district superintendent on July 1. Deters will succeed Kenny Schwengel, who has been interim superintendent since Michele Lindenmeyer's departure.

Meanwhile, the Board approved a three-year contract for Cody McCollum to serve as junior high and high school principal. Also approved was a contract with Penny Hill to serve as grade school Dean of Students.

The Board also accepted Hill's resignation as junior high scholastic bowl sponsor and approved Kennedy Ferris to replace her as sponsor.

The Board also approved a HVAC project with Culbertson Heating and Cooling, and took no action on an intergovernmental cooperative sports agreement.
