North Clay School Board Discusses Building Projects

North Clay school board members discussed building projects and a possible addition to the buildings, as well as how to finance the projects. No action was taken.

The Board also voted to support a local control group, as well as support a local case involving local control. The case is not in the North Clay school district.

In personnel moves, the North Clay board hired Roy Taylor as high school golf coach; hired Emily Thomann as high school assistant girls volleyball coach; approved leaves of absence for Lacey Sowers and Janell Farleigh; approved personal leave days for Michele Lovett and Kim Teague; accepted the resignation of Tyler Pilcher as junior high boys baseball assistant coach and 7th grade boys basketball assistant coach and authorized the administration to hire a 7th grade boys assistant basketball coach; accepted the resignation of Torey Beccue as high school night custodian and authorized the administration to hire a night custodian at the high school; and hired Mitchell Martin as fresh/soph boys basketball coach.

The Board also approved creation of a North Clay High School bass fishing club, and voted not to enroll in transitional math for the school year.
