Effingham Water Authority trustees were updated on a series of issues at this month's meeting.

There was an update on a lot in Boos and Grunloh #2 where there is disrepair. There have been some repairs, but the work is reportedly moving at a slow pace and court action may be a possibility if things don't move ahead.
Lake Superintendent Mike Dirks discussed eliminating the resident and non-resident boat licenses and combining them into one license for motorized vehicles. Brad Hastings of the Boating Committee will contact the other committee members on the idea and will report back.
There was also discussion of drainage issues at property on Bluebird Trail. Dirks and his staff have been clearing debris on a regular basis, but Dirks plans to rent a camera to determine if there is blockage in the culvert that could be causing the issues.
Jane Montello of the Good Neighbors of Lake Sara reported that they have 252 members and nine business memberships. Montello reported they have in excess of $13,000 toward the cost of fireworks. Montello said the Good Neighbors may be interested in funding upgrades at the Community Building.
