6,239 New Confirmed and Probable COVID Cases Tuesday in Illinois

The Illinois Department of Public Health Tuesday reported 6,239 new confirmed and probable cases of coronavirus disease in the state. 116 COVID-related deaths were reported in the state Tuesday.

Those deaths include a female in her 60s and a female in her 80s, both in Fayette County, and a female over 100 years old in Marion County.

As of Monday night, 4,571 people in Illinois were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19. Of those, 981 patients were in the ICU and 557 patients with COVID-19 were on ventilators.
