The Effingham County Health Department Thursday announced the COVID-related deaths of a woman in her 60s and a woman in her 70s.
The Health Department also announced 26 new positive test results.
Here are the demographics:
MALE--one teen, three in their 20s, three in their 30s, one in his 40s, one in his 50s, one in his 60s, and one in his 80s.
FEMALE--one less than 10 years old, three teens, one in her 20s, one in her 30s, four in their 40s, three in their 50s, and two in their 60s.
Illinois Region 6 test positivity seven-day rolling average is 8.5% through December 14, and Effingham County is 16.4% for the same period.
The IDPH Mobile COVID-19 Testing Unit returns to Effingham County on Saturday from 9am to 5pm. The Testing Unit will be located at the Effingham County Health Department, 901 W. Virginia Avenue in Effingham.
The service is available to anyone seeking testing. No appointment or physician order required. There is no charge to individuals for the COVID testing. Please present your insurance card at the time of the service; no one will be denied due to having no insurance. There is no fee to you, but billing insurance will help you pay for the service, allowing more individuals the same opportunity.
