The Illinois General Assembly will not meet this month for fall veto session after House and Senate leaders postponed the session due to COVID-19 case increases.

State legislators were scheduled to return before and after Thanksgiving. Instead, lawmakers will return in January to complete the veto session before the 102nd General Assembly is inaugurated.
