Edgewood Resident Gets Prison Time

An Edgewood woman has been sentenced to three years in prison.

28-year-old Tara Szarek was sentenced to the prison time on a count of aggravated battery to a peace officer.

Szarek was given credit for 99 days served awaiting disposition of her case. She will be placed on two years' mandatory supervised release once out of prison.
