Rotarians Hear About the Guard on Veterans Day

Effingham Noon Rotary Club members heard about the Illinois National Guard at their meeting on Veterans Day.

Derek Meyer, a National Guard recruiter based in Effingham County, spoke about his recruitment and the experiences he's had in his almost 20 years of service. Meyer said it's been a good experience, and it led him to recruiting others to the Guard.

Bill Myers served as Rotary weekly program chairman.
