Effingham County Health Department Tuesday received notice of 61 positive test results. The Illinois Department of Public Health announced a COVID-related death in the county, that of a male in his 70s.
The cases included seven males in their teens, six in their 20s, six in their 40s, five in their 50s, and four in their 60s, as well as a female infant, a female younger than 10, three females in their teens, two in their 20s, seven in their 30s, six in their 40s, seven in their 50s, one in her 60s, two in their 70s, two in their 80s, and one in her 90s.
Health Department officials remind us to wear a mask, wash up, and spread out.
