Cowden-Herrick school board members awarded HVAC and electrical upgrade bids at a special meeting Friday.
Grunloh Construction of Effingham was awarded the project.
Earlier, the Board issued bonds for up to $1.33 million. The electrical upgrades are planned at the high school building in Cowden and the grade school building in Herrick. The upgrades will facilitate the installation of air-conditioning in each building.
