Crash at 3rd and Evergreen Results in One Injured

A crash at 3rd and Evergreen just after 1pm Tuesday injured a passenger.

City police report a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Hillary Beard of Sigel pulled in front of, and was struck by, a vehicle driven by 69-year-old Bernita Ferry of Lewisport, Kentucky.

The impact caused Beard's vehicle to leave the roadway and strike and damage at Canadian National Railroad bungalow.

A passenger in Ferry's vehicle, 22-year-old Julissa Embry of Lewisport, Kentucky, was injured in the incident and was transported by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

No citations were issued.
