A car and semi collided on I-70 near Martinsville just after 7:30 Monday morning.

State police say the car driven by 22-year-old Alexander Pyfrom of Columbus, Ohio was passing the semi driven by 51-year-old Jeffrey Herbig of Hillsboro, Missouri when Pyfrom, who told authorities he was fatigued, allowed the car to drift into the side of the semi.

The car spun out, crossed in front of the semi, left the roadway to the right, struck a small tree and came to rest in the ditch.

Pyfrom and his three passengers, also all from Columbus, Ohio, were injured and were taken to Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

Pyfrom was cited for improper lane usage, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and not wearing a seat belt. None of the occupants of the car was wearing a seatbelt.
