Effingham Park District Director Jeff Althoff shared with Park Board commissioners about plans for the 2020 recreation season, including the acquisition of products and equipment.

In fact, Althoff had some of the products on hand for the meeting to let commissioners see exactly what they're purchasing.

Althoff reported that memberships at the Workman Sports and Wellness Complex are up. Total memberships are at 2,048 compared to 2,007 the previous month, and the number of members is at 5,285, up from 5,268.

Althoff also shared that registration for 2020 spring and summer programs is increasing, even past the official March 1 deadline. He said it seems as the weather gets better, people are reminded of the need to get signed up for various programs.

It was also agreed to let Althoff sell unused maintenance implements that were not taken on trade.
