A Royal Surprise for Elizabeth Weidner

Elizabeth Weidner of Teutopolis has been through a lot in the past four years, as the 16-year-old has waged a battle with cancer.

Elizabeth faces additional treatment in the near future. To encourage her, Effingham County Relay for Life gathered 40 title holders for a surprise gathering for Elizabeth. Here's a video of the surprise moment...

Among her many duties, Elizabeth is Gold Together for Childhood Cancer Team Captain. Elizabeth also established #CrownsFightCancer, and has worked hard on behalf of Relay for Life, an effort of the American Cancer Society.

Elizabeth is the daughter of Matt and Jennifer Weidner. A fundraiser called Bold, Beautiful & Bald will be held for Elizabeth on Sunday, February 16 from 2-6 pm at The Orchard in Effingham.
