A trial date of February 24 has been set in the residential arson case of Derrick Kuhlman of Mode.
The 43-year-old Kuhlman is charged with a fire early in January that did more than $100,000 damage to his ex-wife's home in Shumway.
During a Wednesday court hearing, Kuhlman's request for a reduction in his $500,000 bond was denied. He is due for a final pre-trial hearing on February 13.
35-year-old Bettyann Conner of Mode is also charged with residential arson in the case. She has posted bond and been released. Conner is next due in court for a preliminary hearing on March 10.
