Two Injured in Saturday Crash in Effingham

Two people were injured in a Saturday crash at Jefferson and Henrietta in Effingham.

The crash happened at 9:40am when a vehicle driven by 62-year-old Gene Schumacher of Altamont turned into the path of, and was struck by, a vehicle driven by 20-year-old Kalina Dunn of Effingham. 

Dunn and her passenger, two-year-old Aubree Dunn of Effingham, were both injured, but refused treatment.

Schumacher was cited for disobeying a traffic control device.
