Teutopolis school board members Monday discussed additional budget reduction measures and set a date to vote on the cuts.

A special meeting was scheduled for Monday, March 4 at 6:30pm to approve a list of budget cuts.  The location of the meeting is still to be determined.

Also Monday, the Teutopolis board approved resignations from Dick Henry as part-time lawn maintenance worker, Kari McManaway and Amy Soumakian as co-sponsors of the junior high cheerleading squad, and Becky Schumacher as JV boys tennis coach.  The Board then hired Terry Kimpling as JV boys tennis coach and Jenna Funneman as junior high track coach, and agreed to advertise for one junior high track coach and one frosh/soph boys baseball coach for this spring.

The Board hired Glass and Shuffett to do audit work; approved next year's school calendar; and approved a senior class trip to Chicago on April 23.  Board members also approved final payment documents for the high school band room replacement project and agreed to seek bids on resurfacing the junior high track and then decide whether the work should be done.

Board members set high school graduation for Sunday, May 12 at 2:30pm and 8th grade promotion for the last day of school, tentatively May 15 at 7:30pm.  The Board discussed starting a Facebook page, and extended the contract of counselor Cathy Esker six days this summer to complete her work.
