Hearing on City vs. Mall Continued Again

No action Wednesday in a lawsuit filed by the City of Effingham against the owner of Village Square Mall.

The scheduled hearing was continued and is now set for 11am on November 14.

At a hearing in late September, City Attorney Tracy Willenborg had indicated that a new owner is a possibility for the mall. The thought is that a new owner could bring a resolution to the City's suit and complete structural improvements needed at the facility.

This is the second continuance in the matter since the late September hearing.
