Unit 40 Announces Start of School Year Plans

The Effingham Unit 40 School District has announced plans for the start of the 2019-2020 school year.

Tuesday, August 27 is the first day of attendance for students. On that day, all students will attend classes until 2:00 PM. Lunch will be served. Buses will transport students to and from school. Exceptions are the Early Learning Center, Central ECSE, and South Side students, who should be brought by parents/guardians to and from school.

Wednesday, August 28 All students, except the ECSE students, will attend until 2:00 PM and lunch will be served.

Thursday, August 29 All students, except the ECSE students, will attend until 2:00 PM and lunch will be served.

Friday, August 30 All students, except the ECSE students, will attend until 2:00 PM and lunch will be served.

High School Students new to Effingham Unit #40 meet with their counselor on  August 14 & 15  8:30am-3pm

 

Parking permits and schedule changes will be at Effingham High School on the following schedule:

(Bring your perfect attendance letters if you have one.)

Seniors- 8am-10am      Juniors -10am-12pm   Sophomores- 1pm-3pm August 19th

Freshman (schedule change only) - 8am-3pm August 20th

 

Freshman and New Student Orientation will be in EHS cafeteria from 6pm-7:30 pm on August 20th 

 

School Pictures will be taken on September 3rd

(Reminder to seniors that this is the senior picture used in the yearbook. Dress accordingly.)
