A few raindrops didn't deter anyone from enjoying the annual Effingham Sunset Community Celebration.

The event, held Tuesday evening on the Effingham Public Library parking lot, featured any number of emergency services personnel who interacted with local residents.

Citizens who attended enjoyed free food and drinks, prizes and games. Local law enforcement, telecommunicators, firefighters, EMS, military and more were on hand.

Organizers say it's good for citizens to meet those who serve them in an informal setting.
