The 2019 Fayette County Fair opens this weekend in Brownstown.

Judging activities start on Saturday. Here's the schedule:

9am--4-H and junior horse and pony show

3pm--4-H and junior rabbit show

7pm--4-H goat wethers check-in/weigh-in

8pm--4-H livestock exhibitors mandatory meeting

Sunday's judging schedule:

noon--4-H and junior poultry show

1pm--judging of Classes J, K, L, M and O

4pm--4-H goat show

6:30pm--master showmanship contest

Evening attractions will begin Sunday with the Junior Miss and Future Miss Pageant at 7pm.

Some unfortunate news in the last few days before the fair opens; there will not be a carnival this year. The fair was to have a new carnival this year, but fair officials were notified this week that the carnival will not be coming.

The fair runs through next Friday for evening activities and through next Saturday for judging activities.
