The planned resurfacing work on Wabash Avenue in Effingham has been delayed one week.

That means beginning Monday, June 17, from 8pm to 6am, Wabash Avenue will be closed from the CN Railroad to 4th Street. There will be a detour route marked with signage to help the public get around Wabash.

The road closure will open back up around 6am each day to allow for daytime travel, but will then close at 6pm.

The work is expected to take about a week, June 17-21, weather permitting.
