Shimkus, Enyart to Co-Chair Coal Caucus

Congressmen John Shimkus and Bill Enyart have announced they co-chair the Congressional Coal Caucus to promote Southern Illinois coal and good jobs.

The congressmen say Illinois reported a record year for coal production in 2012 and say it was in large part due to Southern Illinois workers and mines.  As co-chairs of the caucus, Shimkus and Enyart said they'd work together to "advance Southern Illinois coal production, workers, and good jobs that strengthen the middle class".
