Shumway firefighters had a short night, handling a shed fire early this morning.

Firefighters were called out after a passerby spotted the fire on property owned by Delbert Workman at 8450 E. 1250th Avenue at 3:49am.  Shumway firefighters say the fire had a couple hour headstart before it was spotted.

The 40x60 foot shed was a total loss, as was the car parked inside.  The building was far enough away that the house was not threatened.  No one was injured.

Firefighters, who are still working to determine the cause of the fire, cleared the scene about 5:45am.
