The Illinois State Board of Elections hasn't done a good job informing everyone about the candidates in the race to replace Jesse Jackson, Jr. That's according to the U.S. Department of Justice, which filed suit against the Board of Elections over the matter.

The DOJ claims military men and women serving overseas didn't get their absentee ballots by the deadline last Saturday, and according to the suit, may not get them for at least two more weeks.  The primary election for the 2nd Congressional district is February 26th.  Overseas military personnel are supposed to have the ballots at least 45 days in advance.
