Members of 100+ Women Who Care Effingham County will make their third community grant of 2018 on Thursday, October 11 at Koerner Distributor (1601 Pike Avenue, Effingham). Registration and social hour begin at 5 p.m. and the meeting will start promptly at 6 p.m. Light refreshments, provided by Keller Convention Center and Koerner Distributor, will be served throughout the evening. Guests who are interested in learning more about 100+ Women Who Care Effingham County are encouraged to attend the meeting at no cost.

In July, members of 100+ Women Who Care Effingham County chose Andrew Gobczynski Big Heart Foundation as the recipient of the $13,700 contribution at its second membership meeting of 2018. 100+ Women Who Care Effingham County meets three times a year for a one-hour meeting. Members join the organization annually and sign a commitment to donate $400 per year. The first $100 commitment supports the 100+ Women Who Care Effingham County Endowment, managed by Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation, to address future needs of the community. In addition, every member pledges to donate $100 at each of the meetings for that year (whether they attend or not) to be donated to a selected nonprofit organization in Effingham County. Nonprofits are nominated and presented at each meeting and are voted on by the members.
